Metaphysical Poetry and Cavalier Poetry-My take on it!

Alright metaphysical poetry, according to Metaphysical Poetry - Timeline, Context, Biographies of Various Poets, Critical Analysis - Crossref-it.info, They explain that metaphysical poetry (my translation!) is characterized by different similes and metaphors that might indicate a different "realm" or reality. They also explains that there is no real definition except that the poetry is based of the work of several British 17th century lyric poets. But what that website really wants you to understand is that the poets themselves didn't start the movement or they didn't even know each other, its just that their work all surrounded around the definition.

The main difference between metaphysical poetry and Calvier poetry is that with metaphysical poetry that relations in the poetry are usual biblical and that doesn't mean that all are but majority that you read has references to the Great Divine. While in Cavalier poetry the were based in songs and they were lighter issues in the poetry versus the harder issues that metaphysical poetry wanted to convey.

Cavalier poets were followers of supported by King Charles 1 during the English Civil War, but they wanted it to be light and airy in their writing, just to illustrate good times.
